About this role

Anduril is hiring a Software Engineer for its Fleet Infrastructure Observability team to build and operate production telemetry systems that aggregate signals from edge to cloud across ground systems and Kubernetes infrastructure. You'll design SDKs for metrics, logging, and tracing, manage real-time data pipelines, and operate monitoring infrastructure for mission-critical defense systems.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement core developer SDKs for metrics aggregation, structured logging, and distributed tracing across heterogeneous services
  • Build and operate Anduril's centralized observability plane supporting hundreds of environments with strict uptime requirements
  • Develop real-time data pipelines connecting edge and cloud environments to core observability systems, including offline/airgapped scenarios
  • Operate and manage central monitoring and alerting infrastructure for high-availability systems
  • Collaborate with Robotics Data Foundation and Fleet Management teams to integrate monitoring as a first-class feature
  • Partner with internal engineering teams to understand needs, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement of observability systems

What they're looking for

  • Go, C++, Rust, or Python (Go primary)
  • Kubernetes and container orchestration (Docker)
  • Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Observability stack tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ClickHouse, Victoria Metrics, ELK)
  • Distributed systems design and high-availability architecture
  • On-call operations and production incident response
  • SDK and developer tooling design
  • FedRAMP compliance and government cloud deployments (preferred)
