Tactical Network Engineer, Connected Warfare (Active Clearance)
About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Tactical Network Engineer to design and implement networking solutions for command-and-control and autonomous unmanned systems. You'll architect tactical communication stacks across OSI layers, lead cross-functional requirements, and conduct trade-off studies while maintaining security standards for distributed military operations.
What you'll do
- Lead integration of emerging networking hardware and software into the Connected Warfare systems family
- Decompose networking requirements across teams and design network configurations from complex design reference missions
- Design, implement, deploy, and troubleshoot solutions across OSI Layers 1-4 with security-focused outcomes
- Perform trade-off studies comparing communications and networking solutions, including government-provided technologies
- Build benchmarking tools and analyze network traffic; develop recommendations for edge network reliability and throughput
- Collaborate with software engineers to create modeling, simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop lab infrastructure
What they're looking for
- Tactical LOS/BLOS RF systems and commercial mesh networking radios
- Ad-hoc mesh networking, secure protocols (IPSec/MACSec), and software-defined networking
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), enterprise networking, and CI/CD tools
- TCP/IP, DNS, routing protocols, and distributed systems fundamentals
- Network modeling and simulation tools
- Cybersecurity and cloud networking architecture
- Electronic Warfare and spectrum management technologies
- Empirical testing and engineering standards application
