About this role

Apex seeks a Cyber Security Engineer to design and maintain enterprise-wide security architectures across cloud and on-premises environments while managing risk, compliance, and incident response for a commercial spacecraft manufacturing company. The role combines technical leadership in security engineering with strategic oversight of emerging threats and regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

  • Design enterprise cybersecurity architecture for cloud, on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
  • Lead deployment and integration of security technologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR/XDR, and IAM platforms
  • Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and audits; develop remediation strategies
  • Perform threat modeling and security architecture reviews for new systems, applications, and infrastructure
  • Support incident response, threat hunting, and forensic analysis while guiding cyber resilience strategies
  • Mentor junior cybersecurity engineers and serve as subject matter expert to technical and business stakeholders
