About this role

Apex is seeking a Hydraulic Engineer to support the design and delivery of water resources projects across Idaho, including hydraulic modeling, floodplain analysis, and drainage system design. You'll work on meaningful infrastructure and environmental projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and developing technical expertise under senior mentorship.

What you'll do

  • Perform hydraulic and hydrologic analyses for bridges, culverts, floodplains, and stormwater systems
  • Conduct 1D and 2D hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS, SMS SRH-2D, and related tools
  • Design and evaluate culverts, drainage systems, irrigation networks, and stormwater management solutions
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, and project documentation
  • Support FEMA floodplain modeling, management, and permitting processes including LOMR/CLOMR applications
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory agencies on project delivery and permitting
