About this role

Base is seeking a Manufacturing Controls Engineer to design and deploy manufacturing lines for battery backup systems. You'll bridge traditional PLC programming with modern software, manage equipment suppliers, and oversee production ramp from commissioning through mass production.

What you'll do

  • Design and launch manufacturing lines for new battery products at scale
  • Develop controls systems integrating PLC logic with modern software architecture
  • Perform hands-on commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of production equipment
  • Lead supplier partnerships through design reviews and factory acceptance testing
  • Establish hardware and software standards for future manufacturing equipment
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver successful production lines across Base facilities
