About this role

BlackSky seeks an Assembly, Integration & Test Engineer to support satellite and subsystem testing, equipment development, and troubleshooting in a production environment. You'll design test procedures, maintain automated systems, create technical documentation, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure quality and manufacturing efficiency.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and execute satellite and subsystem test setups, instrumentation, and documentation
  • Maintain and develop automated/manual test equipment and fixtures for production use
  • Create and maintain test harnessing for satellites and subsystems
  • Execute satellite-level tests, troubleshoot issues, and resolve testing stoppages
  • Author work instructions and training documentation for assemblies and subsystems
  • Support process improvement initiatives to optimize test quality, documentation, and production efficiency
