About this role
Block seeks an Enterprise People Platform Engineer to build scalable infrastructure powering the employee lifecycle, shifting from standard SaaS to custom data APIs, AI agents, and integration frameworks. You'll partner with Talent Acquisition first, then expand across People operations, automating recurring work and enabling other builders with trusted platform capabilities.
What you'll do
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and People teams to identify technology opportunities and design AI-enabled solutions
- Build shared integrations, data services, and platform automations across the People organization
- Evaluate and manage People Technology vendors, balancing build/buy/integrate decisions
- Steward core People platforms like Workday and Greenhouse for reliable, secure operations
- Prototype and deliver AI-powered solutions that improve employee and candidate experiences
- Establish governance standards and architectural patterns to empower builders across the organization
