About this role

Cartesian is seeking a Software Engineer to build spatial intelligence applications for retail inventory management. You'll work across mobile, web, and backend systems to deliver features for store associates, power R&D datasets, and drive product insights—working autonomously with minimal process overhead in a small, fast-moving team.

What you'll do

  • Develop user-facing mobile and web features for retail inventory location and tracking
  • Build scalable Python web services and APIs supporting enterprise customers
  • Create data collection tools and dashboards for R&D model training and product analytics
  • Manage cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines and internal platform infrastructure
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, business, and research teams to define requirements and ship end-to-end features
