Clera
Electrical Engineer
About this role
A robotics startup building rugged unmanned ground vehicles for hazardous environments seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and own the electrical systems for field-ready robots. You'll work cross-functionally with a small, high-caliber team to develop circuits, PCBs, harnesses, and sensor integrations for extreme real-world conditions.
What you'll do
- Design analog and digital circuits for power regulation, signal conditioning, and sensor interfaces
- Lead full PCB development from schematic capture through layout and board bring-up
- Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to integrate reliable electrical systems
- Troubleshoot system-level electrical issues across hardware-software boundaries
- Define wiring diagrams, harnesses, grounding schemes, and EMI/EMC strategies
- Support thermal, EMI, and mechanical ruggedness testing; establish electrical standards and test infrastructure
What they're looking for
- PCB design and layout (Altium, KiCad, or Eagle)
- Analog and digital circuit design
- Power distribution and regulation
- Embedded systems development and board bring-up
- Robot bus and wiring harness design
- Sensor integration across modalities
- SPICE simulation and noise analysis
- EMI/EMC and thermal testing
Benefits
- Visa sponsorship available
- High-ownership hands-on role
- Work with experienced team from NASA, Lockheed Martin, and defense research
- Exposure to diverse sensor and system technologies
- Direct user engagement opportunities
