Founding Engineer - ML Research

About this role

Join a founding ML research team at an AI training company to build scalable experimentation pipelines and advance research in LLMs, diffusion models, and multimodal AI. You'll translate cutting-edge research into production systems while shaping technical culture from the ground up.

What you'll do

• Design, train, and evaluate machine learning models including LLMs, diffusion models, and specialized architectures
• Build and maintain scalable experimentation pipelines for data processing, model training, and evaluation
• Optimize training throughput and data quality in collaboration with infrastructure and data teams
• Develop and publish research contributions in emerging areas like multimodal and generative AI
• Prototype research concepts rapidly and productionize them into tools and deployable models
• Establish standards for research reproducibility, documentation, and experimental rigor

• Transformer architectures and attention mechanisms
