About this role

Etched is seeking a Platform Validation Engineer to validate AI inference hardware and PCB functionality, ensuring robust power and signal integrity across all subsystems. You'll perform lab testing, post-silicon characterization, and cross-functional debugging to deliver reliable high-performance infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Perform system hardware and PCB functional verification to meet design specifications with validated power and signal margins
  • Collect and analyze lab data to verify power delivery, signal integrity, and system robustness
  • Support post-silicon validation through PVT, power, and thermal characterization
  • Evaluate PCIe performance including signal integrity, eye opening measurements, and bit error rate testing
  • Design and execute design-of-experiment studies to debug hardware issues and optimize performance
  • Validate power sequencing, microcontroller functionality, I2C bus compliance, and thermal/noise analysis

What they're looking for

  • Hardware validation and PCB-level debugging
  • Power integrity and signal integrity principles
  • PCIe, I2C, and common hardware interface protocols
  • Lab equipment operation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers)
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving
  • Python or Matlab scripting
  • Power sequencing and microcontroller systems
  • Cross-functional collaboration and communication

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage with $500/month credit option
