Quality Assurance Engineer
About this role
Lasko seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to investigate why returned products fail, perform teardown analysis, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions across design, manufacturing, and supplier functions. This on-site role in Fort Worth supports all Lasko brands and requires independent problem-solving with cross-functional collaboration.
What you'll do
- Perform teardown and failure analysis on returned consumer and retail units to determine failure modes and root causes
- Apply structured problem-solving methods (8D, 5-Why, fishbone, fault tree, DMAIC) and document findings in failure analysis reports
- Monitor return rates, warranty claims, and consumer reviews to identify emerging product issues and report to management
- Recommend containment and corrective actions, then verify their effectiveness using post-implementation return data
- Collaborate with engineering, product integrity, supplier quality, and plant quality teams to implement fixes
- Support Material Review Board activities and supplier corrective action requests with physical evidence and analysis
