About this role
OpenAI seeks a Research Engineer/Scientist to develop memory and personalization capabilities for frontier AI models. You'll work on memory architecture, post-training methods, and long-horizon task design while collaborating with product teams to ship real-world impact.
What you'll do
- Own and execute a research agenda for advancing long-horizon memory and personalization in frontier models
- Build and maintain robust evaluation frameworks to measure modeling improvements
- Design, implement, test, and debug code across the research stack
- Collaborate with research and product teams to translate technical solutions into product features
- Develop long-horizon tasks for training and evaluation purposes
