Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer
About this role
PingWind seeks an experienced Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer to support a federal government client's cryptographic modernization efforts. You'll evaluate quantum technologies, design post-quantum cryptography migration strategies, and communicate complex security risks to stakeholders while adhering to NIST standards.
What you'll do
- Assess quantum computing technologies and their cybersecurity impacts on enterprise systems
- Evaluate cryptographic protocols, algorithms, and PKI infrastructure to identify modernization priorities
- Develop and implement post-quantum cryptography migration strategies and implementation plans
- Audit cryptographic inventories and prioritize systems requiring updates or remediation
- Develop and test quantum-resistant solutions using programming and simulation tools
- Communicate quantum risks and migration recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
