About this role

Rain is seeking a Compliance Engineering Specialist to translate financial regulations into technical requirements and build compliance systems for a crypto payments platform. You'll bridge regulatory obligations and engineering implementation, ensuring the platform meets AML, KYC, BSA, and sanctions requirements.

What you'll do

  • Translate regulatory requirements (AML, KYC, BSA, OFAC, FinCEN) into technical specifications for engineering teams
  • Design and maintain compliance systems including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer due diligence workflows
  • Review technical implementations for regulatory gaps and lead remediation efforts
  • Develop compliance analytics, data quality controls, and reconciliation processes for monitoring and regulatory reporting
  • Serve as technical subject-matter expert during regulatory exams, audits, and third-party assessments
  • Monitor evolving regulations and identify engineering implications; support SAR/CTR reporting workflows
