About this role
Relativity Space seeks a Manufacturing Engineer I to own paint and thermal protection system (TPS) processes for the Terran R rocket, from design through vehicle installation. You'll develop build flows, create assembly sequences and specifications, support production teams, and collaborate across engineering and supply chain to scale manufacturing operations.
What you'll do
- Own paint and TPS material application from design release through installation on Terran R vehicle
- Develop and optimize build flows to ensure efficient, scalable production processes
- Drive first-build efforts and improve existing product lines through design integration and assembly sequencing
- Create material BOMs, build work orders, and process specifications
- Support shop floor personnel with responsive issue resolution and feedback on manufacturing innovation
- Coordinate large-scale part movements and ensure safety protocols are communicated clearly
