About this role
Relativity Space seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to own subassembly hardware for the Terran R rocket, from design through build and delivery. You'll develop manufacturing processes, support first-article builds on second shift, and collaborate across teams to scale production while maintaining quality and repeatability.
What you'll do
- Own hardware lifecycle from design release through build, test, and delivery for vehicle subassemblies including fluids, electrical, and structural components
- Develop and release detailed build flows, work instructions, and test procedures to enable repeatable, high-quality execution at scale
- Provide hands-on floor support during builds and testing, resolving issues in real time and incorporating technician feedback
- Coordinate across design, supply chain, production, and test teams to ensure part readiness, tooling availability, and schedule alignment
- Support first-article builds in a fast-paced environment, balancing manufacturability with repeatability and quality
- Contribute to long-term manufacturing systems development, including tooling strategies, ERP/MES workflows, and production standards
