About this role
Relativity Space seeks a Valve Manufacturing Engineer for the 2nd shift to productionize fluid control valves for the Terran R rocket. You'll collaborate with design and test teams to create manufacturing processes, tooling, and work instructions while optimizing cost, quality, and production timelines.
What you'll do
- Productionize valve designs in collaboration with Design and Test teams
- Create work instructions and develop custom tooling for valve manufacturing
- Evaluate and optimize value stream to reduce production time, cost, and defects
- Set up and commission manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Conduct cryogenic and ambient testing of valve components
- Incorporate lessons learned and feedback into iterative product improvements
