About this role

SpaceX seeks a Software Engineer to join the Test Software team at Starbase, developing control and data acquisition systems for rocket test stands. You'll architect high-performance software across multiple languages, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and directly impact daily test operations in support of the Mars mission.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop software for test stand data acquisition, control, and automation systems
  • Collaborate with electrical, test, and IT engineers to build computing and network solutions
  • Respond to operational issues and provide technical support during active testing
  • Own full software development lifecycle from design through testing and integration
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor team members on continuous improvement
  • Manage and integrate large distributed systems for test infrastructure
