Customer Deployment Engineer
About this role
Sigma seeks a Customer Deployment Engineer to guide new customers through platform implementation, adoption, and self-sufficiency. You'll combine technical expertise with customer-first mindset to help teams translate workflows into Sigma, optimize performance, and drive long-term success.
What you'll do
- Drive new customer deployments with focus on environment setup, adoption strategies, and building self-sufficient users
- Provide implementation expertise across Sigma best practices, data connections, migrations, security, and performance optimization
- Conduct technical discovery with enterprise stakeholders to assess readiness and develop customized implementation plans
- Own key customer milestones from sales handoff through training, deployment coaching, and handoff to Customer Success
- Create feedback loops with Product, Support, and Sales teams to continuously improve onboarding processes
- Document knowledge, cross-train team members, and raise risks to remove deployment blockers

- BI tool expertise (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Sisense, Qlik, or ThoughtSpot)
- Advanced SQL including dimensional modeling, slowly changing dimensions, and complex joins
- Cloud data warehouse experience (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery)
- Enterprise authentication configuration (SSO, SCIM, OAuth)
- Row-level security design and implementation
- Embedded analytics troubleshooting and API integrations
- Technical documentation and training material creation
- Data application development and performance optimization
