About this role

SimpliSafe seeks a Software Engineer I to develop and maintain cloud-based backend systems powering their mobile applications. You'll work cross-functionally to optimize performance and reliability while supporting a collaborative, values-driven engineering culture.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy backend systems for the User Systems team
  • Optimize systems for performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Participate in design and code reviews and maintain comprehensive test coverage
  • Document systems to enable maintenance by future developers
  • Serve on-call rotation as first responder for team-owned software
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers, QA, and product managers
