About this role
SpaceX is hiring new graduate mechanical engineers for Starlink in Bastrop, TX, to develop and manufacture satellite internet hardware and ground infrastructure. You'll own products from design through high-volume production, optimize manufacturing processes, and solve complex engineering challenges in a fast-growing facility.
What you'll do
- Own Starlink hardware from conceptual design through high-volume production and deployment
- Develop design criteria, requirements, and drive system-level optimization across product lines
- Design and develop production lines including robotics, automation, and process control systems
- Refine manufacturing systems to achieve high-rate, high-yield, and reliable production
- Identify optimization opportunities for product output, quality, and manufacturability costs
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems, establish maintenance protocols, and coordinate equipment procurement
