About this role

Supabase seeks a OrioleDB Deployment Engineer to manage packaging, release lifecycles, and CI/CD optimization for their PostgreSQL-based platform. You'll work across infrastructure tooling, production issue resolution, and mentoring the team on Nix-based workflows in a remote, async environment.

What you'll do

  • Package OrioleDB software using Nix and flakes, transitioning from traditional to Nix-based packaging
  • Manage release lifecycles for OrioleDB, coordinating major, minor, and extension upgrades
  • Expand CI/CD systems and GitHub Actions to enable developer self-service capabilities
  • Identify and resolve production issues in customer deployments proactively
  • Co-own OrioleDB integration into the Supabase product platform
  • Mentor engineering team on Nix workflows and best practices
