About this role
Terran Orbital seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize CNC machining processes for satellite structures and components. You'll bridge design and production, manage manufacturing projects, troubleshoot production issues, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
What you'll do
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes for satellite structures, subassemblies, and components
- Develop custom tooling, fixtures, and jigs to support assembly and testing operations
- Provide hands-on engineering support to the production floor, diagnosing and resolving process issues
- Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness while meeting ANSI and ISO standards
- Lead product transitions from design to full-scale manufacturing and drive continuous process improvements
- Investigate manufacturing and test discrepancies, coordinating with Quality and Design teams to resolve issues

- AutoCAD or SolidWorks design software
- AS9100, ISO 9001, and aerospace manufacturing standards
- DFMEA/FMEA and root cause analysis methodologies
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- ERP/MRP systems (D365, Aegis)
- SPC (Statistical Process Control)
- Cross-functional collaboration and technical communication
