About this role

Terran Orbital seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize CNC machining processes for satellite structures and components. You'll bridge design and production, manage manufacturing projects, troubleshoot production issues, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

What you'll do

  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes for satellite structures, subassemblies, and components
  • Develop custom tooling, fixtures, and jigs to support assembly and testing operations
  • Provide hands-on engineering support to the production floor, diagnosing and resolving process issues
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness while meeting ANSI and ISO standards
  • Lead product transitions from design to full-scale manufacturing and drive continuous process improvements
  • Investigate manufacturing and test discrepancies, coordinating with Quality and Design teams to resolve issues

  • ERP/MRP systems (D365, Aegis)
  • SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  • Cross-functional collaboration and technical communication
