About this role
Varda seeks a Spacecraft Mission Software Engineer to develop ground segment software and mission control platforms for commercial space operations. You'll own critical telemetry, commanding, and mission control systems while building infrastructure for spacecraft operations across lab, test, and on-orbit environments.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain high-reliability ground segment services for telemetry ingestion, scaling, distribution, and commanding
- Design operator-grade mission control UIs and dashboards to optimize operations efficiency
- Build flight software simulations, device emulators, and automated test frameworks for avionics and operations teams
- Design and implement mission platform software including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and observability tooling
- Create robust deployment patterns for lab, test range, and mission operations environments with safe rollout/rollback strategies
- Collaborate with flight software, avionics, RF/ground systems, and mission operations teams
