RF Communications Engineer
About this role
Voyager seeks an RF Communications Engineer to design, develop, and test RF communications subsystems for lunar and spacecraft applications. You'll establish system requirements, perform link budget analysis, conduct design reviews, and ensure regulatory compliance for mission-critical space communications in a hybrid Pittsburgh-based role.
What you'll do
- Develop RF communications systems through design, simulation, testing, and verification
- Perform link budget analysis for spacecraft in earth orbit, cislunar, and lunar regions
- Establish RF subsystem requirements and maintain traceability throughout system lifecycle
- Support design reviews (PDR, CDR) and participate in risk and reliability assessment
- Coordinate with RF and communications hardware suppliers and vendors
- Ensure regulatory compliance for RF communications subsystems
