About this role

SpaceXAI seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to provide design support and expertise for fire and life safety systems at launch facilities. You'll develop code-compliant designs, conduct hazard analyses, support construction teams, and work with regulatory authorities on performance-based solutions.

What you'll do

  • Design and analyze fire protection and life safety systems with calculations and specifications
  • Develop building and fire code compliance documents for SpaceX launch facilities
  • Perform hazardous material analysis including chemical classification and inventory management
  • Support facility construction teams and commissioning activities during pre-test and AHJ phases
  • Conduct code reviews, prepare technical reports, and review contractor design packages
  • Develop Alternate Means & Methods submissions to support performance-based design criteria
