Software Engineer

About this role

Join Yext's Product Engineering team as a Software Engineer on Team Watson, which builds the search and retrieval systems powering Yext Search and Yext Chat. You'll work on highly scalable, real-time systems handling 50+ million monthly requests while developing expertise in distributed systems, search technology, and AI-assisted development.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and deploy highly scalable and reliable search and retrieval systems
• Develop storage systems, libraries, and frameworks that support real-time customer-facing experiences
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle including design, testing, deployment, and operations
• Write clean, tested, and well-documented code while responsibly leveraging AI-assisted development tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering and the broader organization
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve products, systems, and engineering practices
